Santa Ana Zoo

The Santa Ana Zoo is located in Prentice Park, and is a well sized 20 acre zoo that presents the animals and plants of Central and South America. Every year, the Santa Ana Zoo sees more than 270,000 people! The zoo has been in operation ever since 1952 and is currently run by the City of Santa Ana. Although this zoo is smaller than a traditional zoo, it is a great place to take the family for a fun, relaxing day with some awesome animals!

Discovery Cube Orange County

The Discovery Cube Orange County, originally known as the Discovery Science Center, is a science museum in Santa Ana, California that houses over 100 hands-on science exhibits that were creatively designed to spark an interest in science for children! This museum is even perfect for adults that are curious to learn more about science in a hands-on type of experience. You can easily see this eye-catching museum right off of the 57 freeway. Take your family here for a day of learning and fun!

Irvine Regional Park

Although it is called the Irvine Regional Park, it is actually located in the city of Orange, California. This 160 acre park became Orange County’s first regional park in the year 1897, so it is definitely a place of history! The Irvine Regional Park was also listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. This park is a great destination for a budget-friendly picnic day with the entire family (you can even get some Taqueros to-go)!

Lyon Air Museum

The Lyon Air Museum is an aerospace museum that is located on the west side of the John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. This museum has an amazing array of military aircraft, vintage automobiles, military memorabilia, and more, all focusing on the time era of World War II. This museum is perfect for any aerospace buff, as well as a child or adult that is looking to learn more about history!
